Ok, ok... I know this might be stupid but these days -after all the discussion and the jokes- there is a thought back in my mind "what if" this might happen. So, I want to be prepared....
What if then the world ends in 2 weeks?
These are the things that I will do :
I will call all the people that I love and tell them that.
I will cook every day my favourite dishes because I deserve a lot of great last meals!
I will go to the stores and (only) try on things that I cannot afford.
-At least to know what it feels like... :D-
I will buy a cheap but great pair of flat shoes.
(to be able to run if I need to on the 21st... )
I will have a flashlight and a first aid kit ready and fully functional.
Just in case....

Years passed and now we are at a point that we must find solutions to stay stylish
with no budget AT ALL!
Yes, recession in Greece is here to stay and this year
affected us all.
Shopaholics (like me) will always try to find a way to save a little bit for this or
that but every month is getting more and more difficult.
We will always try to be positive and find solutions when things
changing. Like during Second World War when women didn't had money
to spend for anyhting and they used charcoal to dye the black line
at the back of their legs so that it would look as if they are wearing tights!!!
Well we don't need solutions as drastic and extreme as that (yet - at least)
but we must rethink some of our habits!
Perspective changed but maybe for the best and we will grow stronger
and better in some ways.
Well, what did I realise during this year:
1. Basic pieces
Always invest in basic pieces that will never fall out of
fashion. A black coat, a great piece of skinny denim jeans,
a black trousers that fits perfectly, black, white and grey t-shirts,
black pumps, a white shirt, a basic black bag and a little black dress.
Will get you through the hardest (stylishwise) days or nights!
2. Accessories
2. Accessories
If there are any money to be spend this is where to!
They will transform any outfit from day to night, from
preppy to rock, from work to clubbing!
And they are basically cheap.
(Jewellery, scarfs, tights, socks for example!)
3. DIY projects
Transform the pieces we already have sometimes completely,
like a denim to a bag (see here :
or even give them a small twist like a sequin collar to an old
shirt (see here :
http://keepitinfashion.blogspot.gr/2012/10/diy-how-to-make-sequin-collar-top.html )
http://keepitinfashion.blogspot.gr/2012/10/diy-how-to-make-sequin-collar-top.html )
or studs to an old jacket.
A lot of ideas can be found in youtube after a search with the keyword "diy".
4. Swap
"Someone's garbage can be another one's treasure."
I think this is an old saying. Or this is it's meaning - I think! :p
But the idea is the same. Something that I am bored of can
be a new exciting item for a friend.
Exchange bags, clothes or accessories!
And we can transform our closet!
5. Mom's closet (and grandmom's if possible)
Fashion -like history- makes cyrcles. What was in fashion
during the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's with small or maybe without any
modification can be an incredible vintage item with a sentimental
value that is priceless!
This is my "How to survive the Greek crisis" plan!!!
Hope it works and hope will be a short-term one!'
This year its all about recessionistas and not fashionistas! :p

This is definately a must-do project!
The result is super stylish, chic and perfect for an everyday look! And sooo easy!
My only problem is where to buy the material (pleather and chains and studs)
since I am not that much into diy so far - love the ideas but a bit bored to actually
sit and give the time and energy...
But this is the only project that I motivated me to try it!
Recycling --- yeah!!!
